To all to whoom these shall come Greeting Know ye that I Luke Pipkin of Wayne County in the State of No Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty four pounds current money of the State aforesd to me in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by William Beck Esqr of Duplin County the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. To be myself therewith fully satisfyd contented and paid and of every part and parcel thereof do and of every part and parcil thereof do exonerate acquit and discharge the said William Beck his heirs exrs and admrs forever have given granted bargained sold enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien enfeof convey confirm assign and let over unto the said William Beck his heirs executors admrs and assigns forever a certain Plantation tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and twenty four acres lying and being in the state and county aforesaid butted and bounded as follows.

On the south side of Goshen Swamp beginning at a water oak in the run of Goshen Swamp and runs thence SE 55 Wt 140 poles to a white oak on Small Branch the said Beck’s own line thence No 53 Wt 76 poles to a white oak thence No 47 Et 30 poles to a hickory thence No 34 Wt 42 poles to a pine thence No 47 Et 150 poles a stake on the run of Goshen Swamp thence the run of sd swamp as it meanders down to the first station being part of two tracts of land conveyed by Stephen Snell to William Hurst decd and then by John Hurst one of the heirs of sd William to Sarah Thompson widow then conveyed by deed by Joel Stevens and wife said Sarah to Luke Pipkin aforesaid to have and to hold the said bargained premises with the appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said William Beck his heirs executors and assigns forever the tax fee to become due only excepted free and clear from all manner of incumbrances whatsoever and I the said Luke Pipkin do bind myself and heirs executors and admrs and assigns for ever against the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 23rd day of April in the year of our Lord 1796

Then was the within deed proved in open court by the oath of John Beck and ordered to be registered.
