Arkansas Gazzette, Thursday June 5, 1980 "State Archives are Better Place for Newspaper Item Researching" SARAH PIPKIN and Jerome Bonaparte Kesterson were married in Saline County in 1851. Both died during the Civil War, and their children were raised by Pipkin relatives in Saline County. Sarah's parents, Mary Couch & Willis Pipkin, came to Saline County from Alabama about 1832. Their son, James W. Pipkin, had a daughter named Johnnie, born about 1809, who married a Terry. Only one of Jerome's brothers, Marion Kesterson, is known to have survived the Civil War period. In 1880, he was in Dorsey (now Cleveland) County, probably near Rison, and his mother, Dollie, born in Virginia, lived with him. I would like to learn her maiden name and also to locate Marion's granddaughter, Julia Kesterson Davidson.
