Never did I dream when I sent Aunt Bess Pipkin Childress write-up
from the paper back in the fall, that I would have another one
to send so soon.

Mr. Chester Pipkin (Joel's dad) died Christmas day. Enclosed is
his write-up which was in the Jackson (TN) Sun.

Chester Pipkin

Services for Chester Pipkin, age 81, will be Monday at 2:00 pm from
the Chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in Medina with Dr. Howard
Walton and Dr. Jon Carlock officiating. Burial will follow in Antiock
Cemetery. Mr. Pipkin died early Saturday morning at his home.

He was the son of the late John and Lynn Bradbury Pipkin. He was born
near Medina and had graduated from Medina High School and attended
West Tennessee Business School. He was a member of the Medina Cumberland
Presbyterian Church, where he was the oldest active member. He had 
served as an elder for 44 years. 

He was member of the Reelfoot Beagle Club and Fairview Hunting Club. 

Mr. Pipkin was a retired sales department manager at Kisber's in Jackson.

Mr. Pipkin is survived by his wife, Lillian Wood Pipkin of Humboldt 
(Three way Community). Two sons; Joel Pipkin and wife Carol of Obion,
and Woody Pipkin of Jackson; four grandchildren; Kelley Pipkin Myatt of
Bethel Island, Ca., John Pipkin of Glasgow, Ky., Cory and Clay Pipkin of
Jackson.

Pallbearers will be: Clifford Rowlett, Roberyt Cash, Harold Dean Jackson,
Steve Autry, Robin Rhodes and Larry Dunaway.

Members of the Adult Sunday School Class of the Medina Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church and Fred and Jo Anne Autry will sit in a group.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5:00 pm 
until 9:00 pm.
