Springfield Missouri, Leader Press, 16 Jul 1987 Gladys Yarbrough Pipkin Gladys Yarbrough Pipkin, 95, Springfield, died at 4:35 p.m. Thursday in her home after a short illness. Mrs. Pipkin was a native of Springfield & the widow of the late R.E. "Tom" Pipkin. She was an active community worker & a 50 year member of the P.E.O. sister-hood with local affilliation in Chapter BG. She was a member of Frisco Women's Auxillary & a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church for 48 years. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia E. Farmer, & a son-in-law, Haynes, of Westport, Conn; & three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wesley J. Arington officiating & preceded by graveside services at 10 a.m. Monday in Greelawn Cemetery under the direction of Herman-Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
