"Wm Robert Pipkin (1860-1941) son of Robert Bruce with rattle snake catch." - On the back of the photo is written, "Kynion Pipkins grandson - William Robert Pipkin (his father Robert Bruce Pipkin) had just taken part in a rattlesnake round up in Texas."
William Robert Pipkin and his wife Emily Virginia Taylor taken at their home in Williamson County, Texas, circa 1915-1917. They made a trip up to Washington State where Emily and her daughter died in the flu epidemic of 1918. (They are buried in Wenatchee, Washington). W.R. traveled back to Williamson County where he is buried in the Fore Cemetery, Williamson County, Texas.
Emily Virginia Taylor's parents were William Milton Taylor and Sarah Jane Southern. William Milton Taylor's parents were Lewis Pipkin Taylor and Elizabeth Pipkin. Since Elizabeth Pipkin and Kynion Pipkin were siblings, this made W.R. Pipkin and Emily Virginia Taylor 2nd cousins!
William Robert Pipkin's parents were Robert Bruce Pipkin and Mary Jane Woody. Robert Bruce Pipkin's parents were Kynion Pipkin and Sarah Honnell. Robert Bruce had a son, Kynion Martin Pipkin.
Robert Bruce Pipkin and Mary Jane Woody thought to have been taken mid to late 1860's. This photo originated from a cousin of mine, Patricia Hacker, who has done enormous research on the Pipkin lineage. The child is unidentified.
circa late 1890's - early 1900's.
