The deposition of Luke Pipkin being of lawfull age deposeth & saith that William Pipkin who deceased in the late Continental Army, was his son lawfully begotten and that his said son was about the age of sixteen years when he first embarked into the service of his Country as was according to the best account he this deponent could get abought the age of nineteen years when he deceased and further deponent saith that he never sold or Bargained his said sons wages that was due to him to any person or persons whatsoever and that he this deponent considers himself the Legal representative of his said deceased son William Pipkin and further this deponent saith not.

Sworn to this 14th April 1789 before Wm McKinne.
