Yakima Herald-Republic, Yakima, WA - 18 Aug 1994 Geneva S. Pipkin, 86, a longtime Yakima Valley resident, died Tuesday morning August 16, 1994 at Christian Rest Home in Lynden, WA. Geneva was born to the late Ruben & Rosie Parker Stewart at kosciusko, MI on October 11, 1907. She receiver her early education in Mississippi before moving to Tennessee in late 1930s. She married George S. Pipkin on June 21, 1940 at Tutwiler, MI. The couple then settled in Toone, TN before moving west and settling at Wapato, WA in 1949. They later moved back to Tennessee in 1968 and then returned to Yakima Valley in 1982. Mr. Pipkin died in 1984 and Geneva then moved to Ferndale, WA where she has lived since. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed needle point, quilting, flower gardening and fishing. Survivors include two sons, Jim Pipkin of Ferndale, Philip Pipkin of Moses Lake; two daughters, Mrs. John "Tommie" Kelly of Bellevue and Mrs. Ed "Georgia" Dungan of Thomasville, AL; two brothers, Ruben Stewart of Moses Lake and Alvia Stewart of Jackson, MI; a sister, Hattie Phipps of Moses Lake; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
