Lubbock Avalanche Journal, 12 Mar 1983 Knox Pipkin Seagraves - Services for Knox Pipkin, 87, of Seagraves will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Abendschan officiating. Burial will be in the Seagraves Cemetery under the direction of Connally Funeral Home. He died Thursday at the Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City after an illness. (10 Mar 1983) He was born in Waco & moved to Seagraves in 1924 from Turkey. Pipkin was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1222 & had served as Worshipful Master in 1933-34. He received his 50 year service pin in 1968. He served on the front lines during World War I. Survivors include a sister, Minnie Wright of Seagraves; a brother, Charlie of Abernathy; & 13 nieces & nephews.
