Athens Daily News, Georgia, Tuesday Nov 15, 1988, pg 7B Pansy Torrance Pansy Torrance, 75, died Sunday Nov 13. Mrs. Torrence, a native of Ralston, OK lived 22 years in Athens. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota, and was co-founder of Future Problem Solving Program. She was a member of Beechwood Garden Club, League of Women Voters, League of Nursing and First Baptist Church of Athens. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Athens. Dr. Jon Appleton will officiate and burial will be at 2 p.m. in Black Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville. Survivors include her husband, E. Paul Torrance; two nieces, Ann Duke, Huntington Beach, CA and Mary Lou Gorman, Tonkawa, OK; and two nephews, Van Nigh, Nashville, TN and William Nigh, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgia Future Problem Solving Program, in care of Vicki Connel, University of Georgia - Bernstein Funeral Home. Jessie Pansy Nigh was born 10 Oct 1913, the daughter of William Daniel and Jessie Oliver Pipkin Nigh at Ralston, OK. She first married Forney L. Murray 19 Aug 1942 and second Dr. E.
