Memorial Obituary Athens Banner Nov 15 1988 Pansy Torrance Pansy Torrance, 75, of Cherokee Ave, died Sunday, Nov. 13. Mrs. Torrance, a native of Ralston, OK, lived 22 years in Athens. She was a graduate of the Unversity of Minnesota, and was co- founder of Future Problem Solving Program. She was a member of Beechwood Garden Club, League of Women Voters, League of Nursing and First Baptist of Athens. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Athens. Dr. Jon Appleton will officiate and burial will be at 2 p.m. in Black Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville. Survivors include her husband, E. Paul Torrance; two nieces, Ann Doke, Huntington Beach, CA, and Mary Lou Gorman, Tonkawa, OK; and two nephews, Van Nigh, Nashville, TN, and William Nigh, CA. Pallbearers will be Forrest G. Towns, Craig Bryan, Floyd Adams, W.R. Alexander, Wilbur Ratterree, Mahlon Edwards, Dave Dwyer and W.C. McArthur. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgia Future Problem Solving Program, in care of Vicki Connell, University of Georgia. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home.
