Goldsboro News-Argus - January 23, 2003 SAMUEL PIPKIN MOUNT OLIVE -- Samuel Howard Pipkin, 93, of the Mount Olive Retirement Village, died Wednesday in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Son of the late Howard Moses and Susan Rose Pipkin, he was the husband of the late Hazel Grice Pipkin. He was a retired farm equipment salesperson with Carolina Tractor Company and was a long time member of the Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church. He and his late wife made their home on Luby Byrd Road, Mount Olive, for many many years. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Garris and the Rev. Michael Whitesides officiating. Interment will be in the Calypso Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. He is survived by two daughters, Janet Pipkin of Enfield and Gayle Pipkin of Winton; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lois Pipkin of Hillsborough; and two grandchildren, Erin Pipkin and Sam Pipkin. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Bear Marsh Church, 1649 Beautancus Rd., Mount Olive, or the Beautancus Community Bldg., 238 Emmett Davis Lane, Mount Olive.
